THE GOOD HOUSE OF DESIGN

  • Why is the shipping so high even on a small parcel?
We send all of our domestic parcels via Canada Post Expedite for a flat rate of $20 or free shipping over $200. This ensures expedient shipping time, insured parcels and a tracking number. We are also located on Vancouver Island, and shipping rates are slightly higher to ship from here with some parcels exceeding our flat rate. The same goes for US and International rates.
  • How do you package your parcels?
We ship in compostable mailers that can be composted at home! Just put the mailer in with your food scraps and garden waste and in a home compost it will biodegrade in 3-6 months. Using these mailers is important environmental decision for us for plastic reduction on Mother Earth and for a better future for the next generations.
  • What if I have Status and want to have my parcel shipped on reserve?
For those of you who wish to do this, please email us to place your order with your Status number and on reserve address and we will take it from there!
  • What is your exchange policy?
Please email us as soon as you receive your parcel and we will offer you 2 weeks to send your return back to us. We will replace your product or offer a store credit. For health reasons during COVID-19, we can not exchange face masks. Please see our size chart for sizing assistance. There are no returns on clearance items.
  • Can I wear your clothing if I am not Indigenous?
YES!!! Please do! Our wearable art clothing is all-inclusive and made for everyone. We make Culturally Appropriate products and use non-ceremonial and shareable family art. Supporting Culturally Appropriate products is not Cultural Appropriation. It is essential that non-Indigenous allies support authentic makers and artists. The future of Indigenous cultural and economic systems rely on outside support. There is also a multi-generational impact in supporting artists...look at our family!!
  • Where are your clothes made?
Our current ready wear collections are Manufactured in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Even our T-shirts are sewn in Canada! Our Coast Salish Couture is custom made at our family home studio on the Snuneymuxw First Nation, in Nanaimo, B.C., Canada. Previous discontinued sportswear items (on clearance) are made off-shore.
